Texas Cake Preparation

Melt butter, cocoa, water, & shortening in pot and bring to a boil. Pour over flour & sugar; mix well then add buttermilk, eggs, & vanilla. Pour into a greased 13×9 pan and bake at 400” for 20 minutes. About 5 minutes before cake is done baking, mix frosting and frost cake when it comes out of the oven.
