Combine sugar and milk in saucepan. Cook over moderate heat to soft ball , stirring occaisionally to keep form sticking to the bottom of the pan. Remove from heat. Beat in butter and peanut butter. Beat until it holds it shape.[or arm falls off-JM] Pour into buttered dish to cool.
