1 md Onion; chopped
2 tb Flour
1 cn Chopped green chilies; (4

3/4 ts Salt
1 tb Butter or bacon fat
1 cn Stewed tomatoes; chopped,
-(16 oz.)
1 Clove garlic; crushed
1 ds Ground cumin

Salsa Verde (Green Chili Sauce) Preparation

Saute onion in butter in medium saucepan until tender, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle in flour; stir to mix. Add all other ingredients; bring to boiling, lower heat. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes about 2 cups. by Diane Geary <diane@keyway.net> on Mar 22, 1998
