3 c Sugar; divided

Strawberry Preserves #2 Preparation

Put strawberries & 1-1/2 cups sugar in large pan & boil 5 minutes. Add remaining sugar; boil 10-15 minutes. Spoon into earthenware jar, skim off foam, cover & let sit 24 hours. Stir occasionally.
