Cooking Ingredients for Strawberry-Banana Squares Recipe
1/2 lb Vanilla wafers; crushed
2-1/2 c Confectioner s sugar
1 Stick butter
2 Eggs
1 qt Strawberries; sliced
2 Bananas; sliced
Nuts; if desired
1/2 pt Cream; whipped
Strawberry-Banana Squares Preparation
Blend softened butter and confectioner”s sugar, beating until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each. Fold in crumbs. Spread evenly in 2-1/2 quart shallow dish. Add strawberries and bananas as next layer, spread even- ly with whipped cream and sprinkle with more wafer crumbs. Refrigerate. Slice or cut in squares to serve. Serves 16.
