Cooking Ingredients for Punjabi Garam Masala Recipe
5 tb Coriander seeds
3 tb Cumin seeds
2-1/2 tb Black peppercorns
2-1/2 tb Black cardamom seeds
1-1/2 ts Green cardamom seeds
2 Inch stick cinnamon
4 Cloves (up to 5)
3/16 Whole nutmeg, about
Punjabi Garam Masala Preparation
(if you want to make your own or it isn”t available) Toast coriander and cumin seeds lightly in a skillet. Pour onto a plate and allow to cool. Place into a grinder along with remaining ingredients. Grind to a fine powder. May be done in more than one batch. Place in a tightly sealed container and store in the *freezer*.
