1/2 c Butter
1 c Packed brown sugar
1-3/4 -(up to)
2 c Confectioner s sugar
1/4 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla
Quick Penuche Preparation
Melt butter & add sugar; boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in milk & bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Sift confectioner”s sugar & gradually add to butter mixture. Beat until thick enough to put in pan (for candy) or spread on cake. If too thick, add a small amount of water. MRS BERNARD B.
