Cooking Ingredients for Rice Pudding #05 Recipe

2 c Water
1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Margarine
1 c Warm water
1 c Nonfat dry milk (not
-instant) -or-
2 c Instant nonfat dry milk
1/2 c Uncooked rice
1/2 c Raisins (optional)
1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Vanilla

Rice Pudding #05 Preparation

Heat 2 cups water to boiling. Stir in rice, salt, raisins and margarine. Lower heat, cover and cook 45 minutes. Remove from heat. Mix dry milk aod sugar. Mix in 1 cup warm water until smooth. Add milk mixture and vanilla to rice. Stir over low heat until hot. Cool to thicken. Serves 6.
