Cooking Ingredients for Smoked Haddock Chowder Recipe
1 lb Smoked haddock or cod
2 pt Water
2 oz Butter
2 Onions, sliced
2 tb Flour
8 oz Peeled and diced
4 oz Grated carrot
4 oz Peeled prawns
1/4 pt Cream
1 cn (small) sweetcorn, drained
Seasoning and chopped
-parsley
Smoked Haddock Chowder Preparation
Simmer fish in water for 10-15 mins. Drain, reserving liquid, then add flaked fish. Melt butter then add onions, cook 2 mins. Stir in flour, add fish stock and bring to boil. Add potatoes, carrot and prawns, simmer for 10 mins. Stir in cream, sweetcorn, flaked fish and seasoning. Heat through. Serve hot and sprinkled with parsley.
