-butter)
3/4 c Sugar
1 Egg
1-1/3 c Sifted flour
1 ts Cream of tartar
1/2 ts Soda
1/8 ts Salt
1 tb Cinnamon
1 tb Sugar

Snickerdoodles #01 Preparation

Cream shortening, 3/4 cup sugar and egg thoroughly. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Add to shortening mixture. Combine cinnamon and 1 tablespoon sugar. Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts, then in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned, but still soft.
