Cooking Ingredients for Sour Cream n Chive Biscuits Recipe
2 c All-purpose flour
1 tb Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/3 c Shortening
3/4 c Sour cream
1/4 c Milk
1/4 c Snipped fresh chives
Sour Cream n Chive Biscuits Preparation
In a bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. With a fork, stir in sour cream, milk and chives until the mixture forms a ball. On a lightly floured surface, knead five to six times. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness; cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12/15 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 12-15 biscuits.
