Cooking Ingredients for Spanish Anise Sticks Recipe
2 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
3/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Shortening
2 Well beaten eggs
2 dr Anise oil
Spanish Anise Sticks Preparation
Heat oven to 375. Blend dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Stir in eggs & oil; mix well with hands. Using 1/2 dough at a time, roll 1/4 thick on lightly floured board. Cut in sticks, 4*1 1/2 . Place on ungreased sheet, about 1/2 apart. Brush with soft butter. Bake 10-12 minutes.
