Cooking Ingredients for Spiced Applesauce Salad Recipe

1 pk (6-oz) lemon jello
1/2 c red hots cinnamon candy
2-1/2 c Boiling water
2 c Unsweetened applesauce
2 tb Lemon juice
2 pk (3-oz) cream cheese
1/4 c Milk
2 -(up to)
3 tb Mayonnaise
1/2 c Chopped nuts (i use toasted
-almonds)

Spiced Applesauce Salad Preparation

Dissolve candy and Jello in boiling water. Add applesauce and lemon juice. Chill until partially set. Blend cheese, milk, mayonnaise and nuts. Swirl into mixture. Chill until firm in a 9×12 pyrex dish. Cut into squares. Serve with a dab of mayonnaise or just plain. This is a delicious make ahead salad and goes with anything. From <A Taste of Louisiana>.
