Cooking Ingredients for Plum Duff 2 Recipe
2 lg Eggs
1/2 c Shortening; Melted
1 cn Brown Sugar
2 c Prunes; Cooked
1 c Flour
1 ts Baking Soda
2 tb Milk
1 Recipe Rum Sauce:
1 c Sugar
3 tb Flour
1/4 ts Salt
2 c Water
4 tb Butter
1 tb Vanilla
2 tb Rum
Plum Duff 2 Preparation
Beat eggs well. Dissolve brown sugar in hot, melted shortening and add to eggs. Add cooked prunes that have been drained and mashed with fork. Sift flour and add. Dissolve soda in milk and add last. Fill greased pudding molds 2/3 full, cover lightly and steam one hour. Rum Sauce: Boil sugar, flour, salt and water for 5 minutes and add remaining sauce ingredients.
