1/2 lb Dried prunes
3/4 c Boiling water
1-3/4 c Flour
3/4 c Sugar
1 ts Soda
1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg
2 tb Salad oil or melted crisco
Prune Bread 2 Preparation
Soak prunes in cold water 2 hours; drain. Pit prunes; chop. Add boiling water; let stand 5 minutes. Sift to-gether flour, sugar, salt and soda. Add prune mixture. Beat egg and add.
