Savory And Tomato Sauce Preparation
1. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes in a bowl, leave them for a minute, and then peel and chop them. 2. Simmer the chopped tomatoes and onion in the butter or margarine for 8-10 minutes and then puree in a blender. 3. Add the savory and thin out with the milk or cream. 4. NOTES : This aromatic sauce is superb with grilled chops, or with roast chicken, and makes a lovely coating for lightly cooked cauliflower or steamed courgettes.
