1 1/2 c Elam s Scotch-style oatmeal
1 c Milk
1/4 c Brown sugar
2 Eggs
2 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/3 c Cooking oil
3/4 ts Salt

Scotch Oatmeal Waffles 2 Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in bowl;mix.Combine and mix milk, eggs and oil.Add liquids to dry ingredients;mix.For each waffle, pour 1/2 of batter (1 1/3 cups) into preheated 9 square waffle iron.Spread over grid at once.Close iron;bake until done and nicely browned.Serve hot with butter and maple syrup,honey, applesauce or preserves.Yield: 2 – 9 waffles or 8 – 4 waffles.
