Cooking Ingredients for Seaweed Soup Recipe

1/2 lb Cooked sloke or dulse
14-7/8 oz Mashed potatoes
One lemon; juice of
3 pt Milk
1 tb Melted butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Seaweed Soup Preparation

Thoroughly wash fresh seaweed in running water to remove sand. Soak for 2 hours in cold water, strain. Place seaweed in a pot, cover with water, cover with lid. Simmer gently for at least 3 – 4 hours until it becomes a jelly, drain. Simmer cooked seaweed, milk and potato together for 20 minutes. Beat well or blend in a liquidizer or blender. Season with pepper to taste. Add melted butter and lemon juice, beat again. Reheat, serve hot. Converted by MC_Buster. NOTES : This is a delicious soup made from the simplest ingredients.
