Cooking Ingredients for Shamrock Cookies Recipe
1 c Shortening (half butter)
1 c Confectioners sugar
1 Egg
1 2 teapoons peppermint
Flavoring
2-1/2 c Flour
1 ts Salt
1-1/2 ts Green food coloring
Shamrock Cookies Preparation
Heat oven to 375. Mix shortening, sugar, egg & flavoring thoroughly. Stir in flour, salt & coloring. To shape shamrocks, roll 3 small balls (1/4 tsp. dough each); flatten together with fingertip into sharmrock shape; shape stem & attach. Sprinkle with green sugar. Complete cookies one at a time. Bake 9 minutes.
