Cooking Ingredients for Bombay Rice Pilaf Recipe

2-1/2 c Water
2 pk Instant chicken-flavored
-broth mix
1 tb Lemon juice; fresh, not
-bottled
1 tb Margarine
1 sm Bay leaf
1/4 c Plus
2 tb Golden raisins (Sultanas)
6 oz Uncooked brown rice

Bombay Rice Pilaf Preparation

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT RICE in a 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over med-high heat. Stir in rice; reduce heat to low, cover & simmer until all liquid is absorbed, 50-60 minutes. (Check after 45-50 minutes; add boiling water if rice seems too dry). Remove & discard bay leaf before serving.
