Cooking Ingredients for Butterscotch Icing Recipe

4 tb Butter
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/8 ts Salt
1/3 c Rich milk or evaporated milk
2 c Confectioner s sugar; about
1/2 ts Vanilla

Butterscotch Icing Preparation

Combine butter, brown sugar, salt and milk in pan and heat until smooth. Cool slightly. Sift confectioner”s sugar into mixture and stir in vanilla. Spread on cake. From a collection of my mother”s (Judy Hosey) recipe box which contained lots of her favorite recipes, clippings, etc.
