1/2 c Shortening
3/4 c Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
2 c Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Baking Soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1 c Canned Applesauce
1 pk Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bits
1/2 c Raisins
1/2 c Chopped Nuts
Calico Apple Cake Preparation
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce and beat. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 3 inch pan in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
