Cooking Ingredients for Camp Biscuits Recipe
2 c Self-rising flour
1/4 c Butter-flavored Crisco;
-butter or other shortening
3/4 c Milk
Camp Biscuits Preparation
Cut in shortening into the flour. Mix in the milk and knead and roll out on floured board. Cut biscuits with a cup. Place in a greased pan that will fit into a preheated Dutch Oven. (Cast Iron best). Set Dutch oven on a small pile of coals. Put 3 or 4 small stones in the bottom of the Dutch oven to place the pan of biscuits on.
