Cooking Ingredients for Alta s English Toffee Recipe
1 c Sugar
3 T Water
14 oz Chocolate bar
1 c Butter
1 t Vanilla
1 c Chopped nuts
Alta s English Toffee Preparation
Cook sugar, water, butter, and vanilla together until it is bubbling and is nearly to hard ball stage. Pour sugar mixture on foil fitted on a a cookie sheet. Spread 1/2 of the chocolated (grated) over it and 1/2 of the nuts. Turn foil over quickly onto another foil covered cookie sheet and cover with remaining chocolate and nuts.
