Cooking Ingredients for Chile-Pear Relish Recipe

2-1/2 lb Fresh pears; peeled, cored
-and sliced
1 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
3/4 c Cider vinegar
5 tb Chpped onion
1 ts Salt
1 ts Chile powder
1/4 ts Cumin
2 tb Chpoped pimiento
4 tb Chopped green anaheim chiles
1 Serrano chile; seeded and
-finely chopped

From: arielle@taronga.com (Stephanie da Silva) Date: Mon, 8 Nov 1993 12:57:55 GMT From a pamplet I got from Shepard”s seeds. Place all ingredients in a heavy saucepan; stir to blend. Cover and cook the mixture over low heat for 30 minutes, adding an additional 1/4 cup water if necessary.
