Cooking Ingredients for Choco-Peanut Butter Cookies #1 Recipe
1/2 c Shortening
1/2 c Peanut butter
1/2 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Packed brown sugar
1 Egg
2 tb Water
1-1/4 c Flour
3/4 ts Soda
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
2 pk (6-oz) semi-sweet chocolate
-morsels
1/2 c Chopped; salted peanuts
Choco-Peanut Butter Cookies #1 Preparation
Heat oven to 375. Grease a 13x9x2-inch pan. Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars & egg thoroughly. Stir in water, flour, soda, baking powder, salt & 1 package chocolate morsels. Spread in pan. Bake about 20 minutes. Remove from oven & immediately sprinkle remaining package of chocolate morsels evenly over baked layer. Place baking sheet over pan so contained heat will soften morsels. Spread softened chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with peanuts & cut into bars. Makes about 32 cookies. MRS.
