1-1/2 c Pure maple syrup
3 tb Unsweetened cocoa powder; or
-to taste
1/2 Stick unsalted butter; cut
-into pieces

Chocolate Maple Syrup Preparation

In a small heavy saucepan heat maple syrup over moderate heat until hot. Whisk in cocoa powder, butter, and a pinch of salt and simmer, whisking, 1 minute. Serve syrup warm.
