Cooking Ingredients for Chocolate Sheath Cake Recipe

2 c Flour
2 c Sugar
1 Stick butter or margarine
1/2 c Shortening (or oil)
4 tb Cocoa
1 c Water
1/2 c Buttermilk
1 ts Soda
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Vanilla

Chocolate Sheath Cake Preparation

Sift flour and sugar together in bowl. Combine butter, shortening, cocoa, and water in saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over flour mixture and stir well. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla; mix well. Pour into well-greased pan 16 x11 x1 deep. Bake twenty minutes 400 deg. Icing: 1 stick butter or margarine 4 T cocoa 6 T milk 1 box powdered sugar 1 t vanilla 1 c pecans Melt butter, cocoa, milk. Bring to boil. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar, vanilla, pecans. Beat well, spread on cake while hot and leave in pan. Start icing five minutes before cake is done.
