3 Eggs
1-1/2 ts Each lemon and vanila

3 c Sifted flour
1/8 ts Salt
1 ts Cream of tartar
1 ts Baking soda
Christmas Star Cookies Preparation
Here”s a nice Chrismasy recipe from Favorite Recipes of America. Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until smooth and creamy. Add eggs and flavorings; beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Set oven at 400 degrees. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on well-floured board. Cut into star shape with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen cookies. (My note: Looks really pretty with different colored icings too.)
