Cooking Ingredients for Cornish Hens and Dressing in Wine Sauce Recipe

1 c Finely chopped onions
1 c Chopped green pepper
3 tb Bacon drippings
6 sl Fried bacon – crumbled
3 c White bread cubes
1 c Chopped walnuts
1-1/2 ts Salt
1-1/2 ts Thyme
1/2 ts Sage
6 Cornish hens
1/2 c Melted butter
1/2 c White wine
1 Clove garlic – crushed
1-1/2 ts Salt
2 ts Sage

Cornish Hens and Dressing in Wine Sauce Preparation

Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings. Add bacon, bread cubes, walnuts and seasonings. Stuff hens, place in roaster pan. Combine remaining ingredients; pour in roaster around hens. Bake at 4oo degrees for 1 hour; baste occasionally with sauce. Turn off heat and cool hens in sauce for 30 minutes before serving. Recipe By : MILEAH From: Date:
