Cooking Ingredients for Country Spice Cake Recipe
2 c Flour
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Cloves
1/4 ts Ginger
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Shortening
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
3/4 c Whole milk
Whipped cream
Country Spice Cake Preparation
Two days before the shower, sift together the first five ingredients. Cream sugar and shortening, and beat in eggs until light and fluffy. Add milk alternately with the flour mixture. Bake in two greased 9 layer pans at 357o for 25-30 minutes. Let cool. Wrap in plastic and leave sitting our on a counter.
