1/2 c Granulated sugar
1/4 c Dark brown sugar -; (loosely
-packed)
1/4 c Maple syrup
3/4 c Water
1 tb Ground cinnamon
1 ts Freshly-grated nutmeg
1 lb Fresh or frozen cranberries;
-cleaned
4 Navel oranges; peeled, and
Divided into segments
1/2 c Coarsely-chopped walnut
-pieces

Cranberry-Orange Relish 2 Preparation

Bring the sugars, syrup, water, cinnamon and nutmeg to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook gently 5 minutes. Add the cranberries and continue to simmer, uncovered, until half the berries pop . Remove from the heat and stir in the orange segments. Cool, stir in the walnut pieces and serve. This recipe yields 5 cups.
