Cooking Ingredients for Date Nut Cookies Recipe
1 c Shortening
2 c Brown sugar
2 Egg
To above mix
1/2 c Water
1 ts Vanilla
In another bowl mix;
3-1/2 c Flour
1 ts Salt
1 ts Baking soda
1/8 ts Cinnamon
Mix well, then combine bowls
Filling; cook until thick,
-stir constantly
2 c Dates – chopped
3/4 c Sugar
3/4 c Water
When thick add
1 c Pecans – chopped
