2 Eggs
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Packed brown sugar
2/3 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Chopped walnuts
1 c Chopped dates
Whipped cream
Date Nut Torte 2 Preparation
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs. Gradually add sugars and beat until well mixed. Add combined dry ingredients; mix until moistened. Stir in nuts and dates. Pour into a greased 8×8 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Torte top will be crusty and the inside chewy. Cut into squares and serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Makes 9 servings.
