3 c Quick-cooking oats
1/2 c Finely chopped dried pears
1/2 c Finely chopped dried
-cranberries
3/4 c Butter or margarine
1 c Packed brown sugar
3/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Grated lemon rind
1-1/2 tb Corn syrup
1-1/2 ts Vanilla

Dried Fruit Oatmeal Power Bars Preparation

In large heavy saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in sugar, salt, lemon rind, corn syrup and vanilla; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in oat mixture. Turn into 13×9-inch baking pan; press mixture to form an even layer. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm. Makes about 21 bars.
