Cooking Ingredients for Eight-Day-Slaw Recipe
2 qt Cabbage – shredded
1 c Celery – chopped fine
1 Whole green pepper –
Chopped fine
1 c Onion – chopped fine
1 c Carrot – shredded
4 c Water
2 tb Salt
1 c Vinegar
1 c Water
2 c Sugar
Eight-Day-Slaw Preparation
mix all veggies together sprinkle w/ 2 tablespoons salt and cover w/ 4 cups of water. let sit for 1 hour then drain. Boil 1 cup water,1 cup vinegar, and 2 cups sugar. let cool the pour over vegetables. mix well and store in glass jars, covered tightly, in refrigerator. Recipe By : Mrs. Mary Serafin
