Cooking Ingredients for Fig and Chile Salsa Recipe
1 Bermuda onion – I still
Prefer red
3 Mild chiles
Anaheim, or Californ
2 Serrano chilies – I used
Only one
4 tb Minced fresh cilantro
1 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Salt – or to taste
Juice of one lime
Fig and Chile Salsa Preparation
1. Roast and peel Anaheim chilies, remove seeds & stem and chop coarsely 2. Mince onion and Serrano chile fine. Add minced cilantro. 3. Remove stem and cut figs into chunks 4. Toss all in a bowl gently to not break figs. 5. Add sugar, salt and lime juice, mix all and allow to stand to 30 min. Serve with Chicken or grilled pork.
