Cooking Ingredients for Fresh Corn and Sausage Fritters 2 Recipe
1 c All-purpose Flour, sifted
1 c Fresh Corn off the cob
1 ts Baking Powder
2 Egg Yolks, beaten
1 ts Salt
2 tb Milk
1/8 ts Pepper
2 Egg Whites, beaten stiff
1/4 ts Paprika
Oil, for frying
1 c Sausage, cooked and crumbled
Fresh Corn and Sausage Fritters 2 Preparation
Sift flour, baking powder, and spices together in a mixing bowl. Add sausage, corn, egg yolks, and milk; mix until blended. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into oil heated to 360 – 365 degrees. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, turning to brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels.
