Cooking Ingredients for Grandma Calvert s Pie Dough Recipe
4 c Flour
1-3/4 c Shortening
1 tb Sugar
2 ts Salt
1 tb White vinegar
1 Egg
1/2 c Water
Grandma Calvert s Pie Dough Preparation
Crumble together flour, shortening, sugar and salt into pea-sized crumbs. Mix vinegar, egg and water. Add to flour mixture a little at a time until all mixed. Let set for 15 minutes then divide into 4 crusts and roll out. Freezing instructions: Before rolling out put into small freezer bags and freeze. To use, thaw to room temperature and roll out.
