Cooking Ingredients for Green Pea Soup 2 Recipe
2 tb Unsalted butter
1 Onion; chopped
4 c Chicken stock
14 oz Frozen mashed potatoes
2 c Frozen peas
1 ts Dried tarragon
1-1/2 c Water
1-1/2 c Skim milk or cream
1/4 lb Smoked ham; finely diced
Green Pea Soup 2 Preparation
Prep: 10 min, Cook: 15 min. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over medium high heat. Saut‚ onion about 4 minutes, stirring, until softened. Stir in stock and next 4 ingredients and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover pan, reduce heat to low and simmer about 8 minutes, until potatoes are dissolved. Transfer to a food processor or blender and coarsely pur‚e. Return pur‚e to saucepan. Stir in milk and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place over medium heat until hot.
