Cooking Ingredients for Haunted Marshmallows Recipe

2 pk Plus 1 t. unflavored gelatin
2/3 c Cold water; divided
1-1/4 c Sugar
1 c Light corn syrup
2 ts Vanilla
Powdered sugar
1-1/2 c Black and orange colored
-sugar

Haunted Marshmallows Preparation

Sprinkle the gelatin over 1/3 cup cold water. Let stand 10 minutes to soften. Bring the sugar and remaining 1/3 cup water to a boil in a small covered saucepan. Uncover and boil 5 minutes. Pour the mixture into the bowl of an electric mixer. Add corn syrup and gelatin and stir until dissolved. Beat at medium speed until stiff peaks form, about 10-20 minutes. Add in vanilla. Dot the corners of a jelly roll pan with a bit of the marshmallow mixture. Then line the pan with wax paper. (The dots keep the paper in place!) Spread the marshmallow mixture evenly into a 3/4 thick rectangle. Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar and let stand until firm. Cut out halloween shaped using metal cookie cutters. Remove the cutouts form the pan using a metal spatula. Coat the marshmallows with colored sugar. Makes about 24 2 marshmallows. Converted by MC_Buster. Converted by MM_Buster v2.0l.
