2 tb Vegetable oil
1 c Celery – thinly sliced
1/2 c Onion – chopped
2 Cloves garlic – minced
28 oz Can whole tomatoes,
Undrained – cut in half
17 oz Whole kernel corn –
Undrained
16 oz Can sliced potaotes –
Undrained
10-1/2 oz Can chicken broth
1 c Water
1/4 c Catsup
1/4 c Brown sugar
1 lb Ham – cubed
3 c Cabbage – thinly sliced
Hearty Ham and Cabbage Chowder Preparation
In 4 quart saucepan over medium heat, saute celery, onion, and garlic in oil for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Makes 12 one cup servings. Recipe By : Janet Slenczka
