Cooking Ingredients for Indian Beans Recipe

1 lb Pinto beans – dried
3 qt Water
1 cn Tomatoes – (1pound)
1 lg Onion – chopped
8 sl Bacon – cut in 2 pieces
3/4 c Celery – sliced
1-1/2 ts Salt
3/4 ts Cinnamon
6 tb Sugar
3 tb Vinegar

Indian Beans Preparation

Wash beans; place in 6 qt. kettle with 3 qts. water and bring to a simmer. Cover; cook 4 hours, or until tender. Mix remaining ingredients with beans and cooking water. Place in 4 qt. casserole; cover and bake in 350 oven 2 to 3 hours or until done. Add water if necessary. Recipe By :
