Cooking Ingredients for Italian Chews Recipe

3/4 c Butter, softened
2 tb Sugar
1-2/3 c Flour (sifted)
3 Eggs, separated
2-1/4 c Light brown sugar
1 c Walnuts, chopped
3/4 c Flaked coconut
Confectioners sugar

Italian Chews Preparation

Cream butter then add granulated sugar and beat until light. Add flour and mix well. Put into 9 x13 baking dish and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Beat egg whites until fluffy. Beat egg yolks and then gradually beat in brown sugar, nuts, and coconut. Fold in egg whites and then spread over top of baked cookie.
