Cooking Ingredients for Maple Pear Crunch Recipe
1/3 c Maple syrup
1 tb Lemon juice
4 lg Firm ripe pears; cored and
-thinly sliced
1/2 c All purpose flour
3 tb Yellow cornmeal
3 tb Brown sugar; packed
1/8 ts Cinnamon
1/8 ts Salt
3 tb Unsalted butter; chilled and
-cut into small pieces
Maple Pear Crunch Preparation
Prep: 15 min, Cook: 45 min. Preheat oven to 375oF. Combine maple syrup and lemon juice in a heavy non-reactive saucepan. Cook over low heat 5 minutes or until very hot. Remove from heat. Stir in pear slices and transfer to a buttered baking dish. Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients, except butter, in a food processor or bowl. Cut butter into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle topping over pears and bake 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden. by molony <molony@scsn.net> on Mar 02, 1998
