Cooking Ingredients for Marinated Cucumbers 2 Recipe
2 md Cucumbers; peeled & sliced
1/4 c Brownulated brown sugar*
1/4 c Cider vinegar
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Celery seed
1 ds Pepper; (generous)
Marinated Cucumbers 2 Preparation
Mix all ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve. My notes: I put it in a plastic container that had a tight cover… every so often I turned the container over to make sure all the cucumber slices got their share of marinade. Also, instead of brown sugar, this recipe originally called for 1/4 cup of Domino”s Brownulated Brown Sugar. It is a specialty brown sugar that pours like and has the texture of granulated sugar. That might not be easily found by most, and I didn”t have any, so I used 1/4 cup of regular brown sugar, packed it, but since it is probably denser than the other, I removed a good teaspoon of it.
