Cooking Ingredients for Veggie Burgers, Jack s Recipe
2 c Cooked lentils
1 c Portobello mushrooms;
-smoked; minced
1 c Bulgur
2 Cloves garlic; roasted and
-pureed
1 c Whole wheat bread crumbs
1 tb Worcestershire sauce
2 tb Walnut oil
1/4 ts Tarragon; minced
Salt and freshly ground
-pepper to taste
Veggie Burgers, Jack s Preparation
Prepare a wood or charcoal grill and let it burn down to embers. In a large mixing bowl, mash lentils until smooth. Add all other ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Form into burgers. Brush the burgers with olive oil and grill for 6 minutes on each side or until done.
