Cooking Ingredients for Yankee Apple Cake Recipe

2 c Sugar
2 c Flour
4 Eggs
3 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Oil
3 ts Vanilla
1/3 c Orange juice
1/4 ts Salt
APPLE MIXTURE:
4 lg Apples, peeled – cored and
Sliced
4 ts Sugar
1 ts Cinnamon

Yankee Apple Cake Preparation

Beat everything but Apple Mixture with mixer for 10 minutes. Grease 2 loaf pans or 1 tube pan and make several layers of batter and apples, beginning with batter and ending with apples. Bake at 350^ for 1 hour or until tester is dry when inserted in center. A tube pan will take 10-15 minutes longer.
