Cooking Ingredients for Banana Pudding #1 Recipe

6 Bananas
2 c Sugar
1/4 c Flour
1 Stick butter
1 Box vanilla wafers
4 Eggs; separated
3-1/4 c Milk
2 ts Vanilla
1 ds Salt
1 ts Cream of tartar
Vanilla to taste

Banana Pudding #1 Preparation

Combine sugar, flour, milk, egg yolks and butter and cook in double boiler until thickened. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Line 9×13 baking dish with vanilla wafers. Alternate sliced bananas, filling and wafers. Beat egg whites with dash of salt, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add 3/4 cups sugar and vanilla to taste. Beat until stiff. Spread over pudding and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
