3/4 c Unsalted butter
4 oz Unsweetened chocolate
2 c Sugar
1 tb Instant coffee powder
-dissolved in ….
2 tb Hot water
2 Eggs
1 c All-purpose flour
1-1/2 c Chopped walnuts, optional
Mocha Brownies 2 Preparation
Heat oven to 350°. Coat a 13×9-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat. Beat in sugar and dissolved coffee. Let stand 10 minutes, until just warm to the touch. Beat in eggs until smooth. Stir in flour and 1 cup walnuts if using, just until combined. Scrape into prepared pan. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.
